Corporate PPA

Structure a PPA against your actual load

A corporate power purchase agreement contracts renewable generation against your consumption for 5 to 15 years. Use the calculator to model coverage and savings. Numbers are demo figures — replace with your own load and price data.

Calculator

Your facility's annual MWh consumption.

Load profile

Industrial = constant load; 24/7 = hour-matched; Peaky = daytime-weighted.

10 years
Covered share — of annual consumption contracted under the PPA

Demo figures. Replace inputs with your facility's actual consumption and your local grid + PPA prices. The savings formula is documented below.

How the numbers are computed

  1. Coverage profile factor maps the load profile to the share of consumption a renewable PPA can cover:
    • industrial-flat: 0.72 — flat industrial load is well-matched to wind + solar.
    • 24-7: 0.55 — hour-matched coverage requires storage; lower share.
    • peaky: 0.85 — daytime-weighted load aligns with solar generation.
  2. Covered MWh = annual consumption × coverage factor (clamped to plant availability of 0.95).
  3. Annual savings = covered MWh × (grid price − PPA price).
  4. Tenor savings = annual savings × tenor (undiscounted; for a discounted view, apply your WACC).
// coverage factor by load profile
const COVERAGE = {
  'industrial-flat': 0.72,
  '24-7': 0.55,
  'peaky': 0.85,
};
const covered = consumption * min(COVERAGE[profile], 0.95);
const annualSavings = covered * (gridPrice - ppaPrice);
const tenorSavings = annualSavings * tenor;

How a corporate PPA works

  1. Virtual or physical

    A virtual PPA (vPPA) is a financial contract — you settle the difference between the PPA price and the wholesale market price. A physical PPA delivers energy through your retailer.

  2. Offtake matching

    We match your consumption profile against plant generation: solar for daytime, wind for night and winter, storage for peak shifting. Hour-matched 24/7 coverage is available with co-located storage.

  3. Tenor and price

    Tenors from 5 to 15 years. Price is fixed or indexed to inflation. The PPA settles against a liquid hub (NEM, Sistema Eléctrico Nacional, EPEX).

  4. Reporting

    Every quarter we deliver a generation report against your contracted MWh, including capacity factor, availability, and avoided emissions attributable to your account.
