Construction started on 22 July 2025 at the Atacama Storage site, adjacent to our 300 MW Sierra Alta Solar plant. The 200 MW / 800 MWh lithium-ion battery will charge from surplus midday solar generation and discharge during the evening peak. Commercial operation is expected in Q4 2026. The asset uses LFP cells in containerized systems with a 4-hour duration, designed for daily cycling across a 15-year asset life.
